Saunas and swim in the pool.
Preparations for the journey across the border to Russian Karelia.
Evening meal and good coffee from old-fashioned coffee-pot in a log-built Lapp-style hut.

2. day
Breakfast
Departure for Russia.
Across the border at Niirala. Coffee at the border.
From Sortavala to Valaam Island by hydrofoil.
Guided tour in the main monastery area and lunch.
Departure for Sortavala.
In Sortavala; city tour, possibility for shopping and wood reliefs of the Kronid Aleksandrovits Gogolev exhibit in the town of Sortavala's exhibition hall. Wood-carvings. Extra charge: 2 € for atelje entrance.
Departure for Finland and hotel Pielinen.
Saunas and swim in the pool.
Evening meal; traditional Finnish-Karelian delicacies.

3. day
Swim in the pool and breakfast.
Guided tour to the Studio-Home of Eva Ryynanen, the wood sculptress in Paateri.
Chapel and Gallery-Cafe.
Ruunaa Rapids, guiding centre and wilderness lunch in a Lapp-style hut.
 - at extra charge: shooting the rapids in a wooden boat. 22 € /person.
Lieksa Church, the Lutheran church was designed by Raili and Reima Pietila.
Evening meal, Finnish-Karelian delicacies.

4. day
Swim in the pool and breakfast.
Have a nice journey back to home!
 - at extra charge: at 9.30 local time from Lieksa to Koli Hills by car ferry.

Rates: Accommodation in hotel: 215 € / person / double room and 205 € / person / 3 persons per room + visa.
Accommodation in hostel: 215 € / single room and 199 € /person / double room + visa.
Rates include: programme, meals, guide for the whole journey, accommodations, transfers by hydrofoil and entrance fees. A group has its own means of transportation.

At extra charge: We offer transport (by bus) by order at 2000 € /group. For the driver: visa and tours to Valaam by hydrofoil and Paateri Chapel.
