Accommodation in hotel Pielinen.
Welcoming ceremony and dinner, Finnish-Karelian delicacies.
Preparations for the journey across the border to Russian Karelia.
Evening meal and good coffee from old-fashioned coffee-pot in a log-built Lapp-style hut.

2. day
Breakfast
Departure for Russia. Across the border at Niirala.
In Sortavala; city tour, possibility for shopping and lunch.
From Sortavala to Valaam Island by hydrofoil.
Accommodation in the hotel of monastery. Rooms renovated. 2-3 persons per room.
Guided tour in the main monastery area. 2 hours.
Evening service in the main church.
Evening meal (packed lunch)

3. day
Breakfast
Getting acquainted with monastery area and island at one's own pace.
Walking tour to St. Nikolaos skete.
Lunch in monastery.
Transfer by boat to St Nikon Bay.
Guided tour in Jerusalem and Getsemane sketes. - Concert by the choir of Valaam pordvorje.
Depart for the main church by boat or hydrofoil.
Own programme or night service in the main church.
Evening meal

4. day
Breakfast and back to Sortavala by hydrofoil or boat.
Wood reliefs of the Kronid Aleksandrovits Gogolev exhibit in the town of Sortavala's exhibition hall. Wood-carvings. Extra charge: 2 € for atelje entrance.
Departure for Finland. Lunch at hotel Pielinen in Vuonislahti or Pajarin Hovi in Kesälahti

Rates: Accommodation in hotel and monastery: 280 € / person / double room and 270 € / person / 3 persons per room + visa.
Accommodation in hostel and monastery: 299 € / single room + visa.
Rates include: programme, meals, packed meal, guide for the whole journey, accommodations, transfers by hydrofoil and entrance fees. A group has its own means of transportation.

At extra charge: We offer transport (by bus) by order at 2000 € / group. Extra nights in accommodation. For the driver: visa and tours to Valaam by hydrofoil.
